I have been writing and taking pictures for a living for the past five years, which is a rather nice way to spend one’s time. I was born in 1982 (all the devilish mathematics is up to you now) and grew up in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa.
I have traveled to a bunch of countries in both hemispheres, have an Honours degree in Geography and a penchant for the outdoors. Surfing, rock climbing, mountain biking and walking are what keep me busy when I’m not working. Actually, more often than not they become part of my work too.
My favourite things to write about are people and their stories, I love learning from the vast spectrum of individuals I cross paths with. Whether it’s writing copy for someone’s website, or researching a story about a person long-gone in history, I thrive on finding out what makes people tick.
